The NH Building Energy Code Compliance Roadmap Report
A few of the key goals of the NH Energy Code Challenge project were to map out NH's existing energy code landscape,
identify barriers to energy code compliance across the state's residential and commercial
building sectors, and develop a plan of action outlining NH-specific recommendations for
achieving 90% energy code compliance by 2017. The comprehensive NH Building Energy
Code Compliance Roadmap report represents the culmination of these efforts and presents the
detailed findings and recommendations resulting from program activities.
The full report is broken into three sections:
Executive Summary
The Executive Summary is a high level introduction to the importance of building energy codes and brief
discussion of NH building activities, the NH Energy Code Compliance Navigation Plan,
and an introduction to NH market actor groups, barriers, recommendations, and specific
market actor "roadmaps" to achieving 90% compliance with the energy code by 2017.
Volume 1: Market Actor Identification and Barrier/Recommendations
Volume 1 is an overview of the project including the presentation of key stakeholders (impacted market actors), specific
barriers and detailed recommendations for progressing toward achievement of 90% compliance with the energy code by 2017.
Volume 2: Detailed Project Report
Volume 2 is a more in-depth description of the nine (9) New Hampshire Building Code Compliance Program tasks,
associated findings, and recommendations directly resulting from these activities.
